RAJUK Uttara Model College

RAJUK Uttara Model College is a secondary school and intermediate college on Shahjalal Avenue in Sector 6 of Uttara, Dhaka. It started in 1994 and is autonomous, but it works under national government directives. Former Prime Minister Khaleda Zia opened its college section in the 1994-95 academic year.

The college is co-educational and teaches the national curriculum in Bengali and English, from Class 6 to Class 12. In 2008 the Dhaka Board of Education recognised it for its HSC results, and the same year it won the Best School award at the National Debate Festival.

Admission is very competitive. Entry to the lower classes goes through a written test, and entry to Class 11 is based on SSC results. Because this is not a regular government school under the Class 1 lottery, always read the college’s own notice for dates and seats. The official website is rajukcollege.edu.bd.
