St. Gregory’s High School and College is a Catholic boys’ school at Luxmibazar in Old Dhaka, on Municipal Office Street, Sutrapur. It began in 1882, which makes it one of the older schools in the capital. Nobel laureate economist Amartya Sen studied here.

The school offers a Bengali version from Class 1 to 12 and an English version from Nursery to Class 10. It ranked ninth in the country in the 2025 SSC GPA-5 ranking, and it is also known for basketball, which the school says it introduced in 1923.

The school is not a government school, so it does not use the government lottery. It issues its own admission notice, form and fees. Read the official notice at sghscdhaka.edu.bd before you pay anything, and keep every receipt.
